ACCURATE MACHINE PRODUCTS CORPORATION manufactures industrial components, unusual ASME Code pressure vessels, assemblies and complete machines for a variety of industrial customers requiring high levels of precision and quality assurance, and strict adherence to demanding specifications.  We perform precision machining, fabrication, testing and assembly to exacting standards, with a specialty in the building of Type B nuclear shipping packages for nuclear facilities and customers worldwide.

Founded in 1946, the company initially focused on serving the growing textile fiber manufacturing industry in the southeastern United States. As that industry spread, Accurate was very active in building equipment for numerous customers around the world.  In the mid-1950s, we began working with Atomic Energy Commission (now DOE) facilities to manufacture a wide assortment of special equipment used in the processing of highly enriched uranium, plutonium, tritium, and other radioactive materials. 

In the 1980s, as the Department of Energy began to address the need for safer shipping of nuclear materials, Accurate was well-positioned with its constantly-improving Quality Assurance program, well-equipped shops, highly-experienced personnel, non-destructive testing capabilities and ASME Sec. VIII code stamp to build the new generation of containers being developed. We proudly continue to supply DOE facilities and other customers worldwide with Type B nuclear shipping packages and ancillary equipment, and a wide variety of custom equipment for unusual, highly-specialized applications.

Today, in a very challenging manufacturing environment, Accurate Machine Products continues to build on over 60 years of experience to provide the highest in quality, with strict adherence to the customer’s specifications, for a vast range of specialty products.  In particular, we are building on our experience in the nuclear defense industry to expand into serving the commercial nuclear power generation industry.

Most of our skilled management and supervisory team, each and every one an expert machinist or fabricator, learned his trade right here at Accurate Machine Products Corporation through our Apprenticeship Programs. We are one of the few small manufacturing companies which has continually offered apprenticeships to young individuals wishing to advance their manufacturing careers. We are dedicated to continuing to build a strong foundation of expert craftsmen.
